- Make your lesson students' centered: Ensure your students play active roles during lesson; ask the question, allow them to think out box. That will help them to use their energy in positive ways.
- Give enough but suitable class activities.
- Talk to your students: Talk to them individually, especially those who disrupt wilfully in the class. If you see them in the hall, cafeteria or hostel, don't hesitate to talk to them on their need for attitudinal changes.
- Teach from the back of the class: You may need to teach for a while from the back of the class if you notice that students are being disruptive in the class by talking, poking, crumpling paper etc.
- Don't forget to commend desirable behaviours: Give them award of excellence, praise them verbally and show you are proud of them.
